The goal of the Fort McKay Territory-wide TLUS is to document – through mapping interviews and field validation – Fort McKay Community member’s life on the land including places where they have (and currently do) live, travel, gather resources and conduct ceremonies. To achieve this goal, the Territory-wide TLUS has the following objectives: 1. Conduct interviews with Fort McKay Community members with knowledge of the land to ascertain how they have used the land in the past, how they currently use the land and how they would like to use the land in the future 2. Undertake site visits to ground-truth TLUS information 3. Maintain an archive of Fort McKay TLUS information.
